Orange-Chocolate Loaf Cake

  • 1 Mixer
  • 1 oven Preheated 180°C / 356°F
  • 1 Loaf cake mold Buttered

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Eggs
  • 240 grs. Sugar (8,5 oz)
  • 80 ml. Sunflower oil
  • 120 grs. Plain or Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 Big Orange
  • 300 grs. White Flour (No Baking Powder) (10,6 oz)
  • 16 grs. Baking Powder (0,6 oz)
  • 3 Tsp Bitter Cocoa

Instructions
 

  • Pre heat the oven to 180°C/356°F.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, oil, and yogurt until all the ingredients come together.
  • Then add the flour with the baking powder and continue mixing until you get a smooth mixture.
  • Zest the orange and squeeze its juice.
  • Gently add the previously strained orange juice into the mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into 2 equal parts.
  • In one bowl, add the orange zest.
  • In the other bowl, gently add in 3 teaspoons of bitter cocoa.
  • Pour both mixtures into the previously buttered loaf cake mold alternating them.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C/356°F for approximately 60 minutes, or until a knife or toothpick inserted comes out clean without any batter residue.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes before unmolding.
  • Once it's cool, you can decorate it as you like – chocolate ganache, chocolate frosting, powdered sugar, etc. Ready to enjoy!
